I hope everyone is doing well. We are patiently waiting for spring to get here! Last night and all day today we had very high winds being clocked at up to 60 mph. Thank goodness the winds have died down this evening. All animals and humans are doing well.
There is not really much going on around CVRS, other than our regular routine. Our farrier will be here on the 18th for those that are due for trims. We look forward to Glace's visits, not for the bill at the end but it is always a learning process ;)
The horses all enjoyed the nice weather we were blessed to have for a few days. Of course the first thing they all did was wallow in the mud. Now the clean up will be the fun part - NOT!
Roger and I were walking around the other day making plans for all the projects we will have once the weather gets nicer. We will have to wait and get a better measurement to figure out if we can have 6 or 8 stalls in the new barn. I was thinking 6 larger and 2 smaller but we shall see. We are planning on contacting a friend of ours to see when we can get shale delivered as we are going to need many loads for all the projects we have planned. We will have a load of sand delivered once we get the area around the ring landscaped to help with the drainage.
We will try to have before and after pictures as the projects are completed.

We know the economy is really putting a hurting on everyone but please know we appreciate each and every one of you that helps to support our rescue. The only way to run a good rescue is to have wonderful volunteers and dedicated donors/supporters. CVRS feels blessed to have so many wonderful people involved in our rescue efforts - THANK YOU!
