About CVRS

We at Cozee Valee provide our animals with a safe haven away from the neglect, abuse, abandonment and the emotional torment they have been subject to. We also assist with rescuing and placing slaughter bound horses. We are a hands-on rescue that believes staying small is the key to our success. At our rescue it is all about the quality not the quantity. When it is time for our horses to find their forever home, we strive to find the most suitable home possible. Each animal that is placed in our care will receive our full efforts to ensure that they never experience an auction ring, slaughter facility or the cruel life they had before we acquired them.

Charlee - One year later!

Hello Everyone....
I wanted to share the one year anniversary of Charlee pony being here at CVRS! He was a give away on Craigslist. I will never forget one year ago today when Stephany (from Celtic Rein Rescue) and her family arrived with Charlee pony, after picking him up in MD and delivering him to us safely.

Above you see poor Charlee upon arrival. It was one of the most heartbreaking things I had seen in a long time. Charlee gave us a big scare as he went down in his stall, shortly after arrival and luckily he got back up and has thrived ever since.
Charlee was put back on his Pergolide as soon as possible and what a difference that has made for him. Unfortunately for Charlee the injuries he received in the past have taken a toll on him and he is now unsound due to his knee trouble.

Charlee is a happy pony that is now spoiled rotten and thinks he rules the roost! He has a new companion, Trinket that he is pastured with and they are starting to really like each other. As you can see from the picture above, Charlee is doing very well :)
We would like to thank each and every one of you that has helped with Charlee in the past and those that continue to love and support him, it is very greatly appreciated.

Happy Anniversary, Charlee! Oracle's one year is coming up on Feb 18th. I still think they were separated at birth.

Thank you Chris - Oh I cannot wait to see new pics of Oracle!!
I love the fact that we (cvrs - trees and others that help the elders) have the proof that just because they are old, does not mean that is an excuse to not properly care for them. Every time I look at all the elders that have come from a bad situation it puts a huge smile on my face - THANK YOU for all you do!
